The push-up is a staple upper-body exercise that you can do anywhere without any equipment


It is an amazing exercise as it works many important muscles. It works your pec muscles—both your pectoralis major (the larger, fan-shaped chest muscle) and your pectoralis minor (the smaller, triangular-shaped chest muscle.


HOW TO:

Start in a high plank with your palms flat, hands shoulder-width apart, shoulders stacked directly above your wrists, legs extended behind you, and your core and glutes engaged.

Bend your elbows and lower your chest to the floor.

Push through the palms of your hands to straighten your arms. This is 1 rep. If you are a beginner aim for 3-5 push-ups.
